Welcome To Unemployed Developer

I’d like to welcome any new and returning visitors to “Unemployed Developer“. The idea for this blog came about when taking part in many interviews with prospective employers. As an unemployed developer looking for work, I often found myself struggling with questions. For example,  I received questions about a topic that I could make work or I knew the basics, but could not describe in a cohesive manner that showed the interviewer that, yes I do have knowledge about said subject. I also I felt that, while I did not have projects to show an interviewer knowledge of some topics, I certainly could blog about some topics and gain first hand knowledge, thus making a much more hire able developer.

Proof of concept is a tough thing to show interviewers, as some projects are internal or are not being utilized on the web, due to the fast changing pace of the Internet. I will be doing my best to provide the best possible article about my subjects and also attempting to show proof of concept through working exampled and visible code in the article. I will also be inviting my fellow developer friends and former co-workers to offer their insight on many topics they have pride in.

While the URL and title of this blog is ambiguous to the sense of what type of development we are talking about, I can assure you that as a web developer, the main focus will be on web technologies. However that should not rule out other technologies, as I do like to learn as much as I can and I might bring in guest writers about some topics that I cannot provide the best knowledge on. If you are interested in being a guest writer do not hesitate to contact me and lets get blogging!

So over the next few days, keep an eye on this blog as I add more articles and a better design.
